Dr. Katie DeBrew

Dr. DeBrew joined CPTA in February 2018 as a full-time outpatient physical therapist. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Wingate University in 2017 and previously received her Bachelor of Arts in Exercise and Sport Science from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After receiving her undergraduate degree, she worked at CPTA as a technician prior to attending physical therapy school. Dr. DeBrew grew up in Waynesville, NC and played competitive soccer throughout high school. She has strong family ties to Cleveland County and now calls Shelby home. Dr. DeBrew enjoys working with patients with a wide variety diagnoses, but her passions include improving function for those with orthopedic and neurological disorders, including concussion and vestibular dysfunction. Dr. DeBrew is eager to continue to grow as a clinician and further her knowledge, with plans to become an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and be certified in dry needling in order to continue to provide excellent care for her patients.
