Class Schedule


Senior Yoga: This class can be done sitting in a chair, standing and/or using a chair to balance or a combo of both. The room is not heated. Class is one hour. Cost is $6. Tennis shoes or bare feet. There is elevator access to the studio if needed. We plan to add another class to the schedule soon.

Hot Therapy Yoga: This class and open to all levels and you can move at your own pace. The room is heated to approximately 100-105 degrees with 40% humidity. You will sweat!! This class teaches 26 postures taught in the same order every class. It is high cardio but you can sip water and sit down anytime. Bring a large bath towel or beach towel, yoga mat and water. Please hydrate before class and refrain from eating 2 hours before class. $12

Beginner Warm Therapy Yoga: This class is for all levels but great for beginners. It teaches the same 26 postures as Hot Yoga, but the postures are not held as long, we only do one set of each posture, it is not as hot (warm) and it is only 60 minutes. There will be demonstrations, extra attention to technique and alignment and moves at a slower pace. Its great for 1st timers or advanced Hot yogis but nice for those who are sensitive to the heat. You will sweat but it’s about 10-15 degrees cooler than Hot Yoga. Please bring a mat and a large towel. $12

Warm Flow: This is a vinyasa flow class. All levels. You will flow from one pose to the next and the movement is synchronized to your breath. Please bring a mat and a large towel. $12

Janet Horn

Janet Horn Miller, Yoga Instructor

Janet Horn Miller returns to her hometown of Shelby, NC after 30 years teaching dance, gymnastics, theater and yoga in Japan, Los Angeles, CA and Asheville, NC. She has a BFA in Theater and Dance from ECU, has been a certified yoga teacher since 2000 and owned several schools, camps and studios in addition to training many other teachers.

Carmen Bridges, RYT

Carmen Bridges, RYT Yoga Teacher, Personal Trainer

I began taking yoga classes in 2007 to compliment my physical fitness regimen, but quickly began to realize that yoga offers so much more, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, and I wanted to share this life changing practice with the world. I completed my RYT-200 hour certification through Asheville Yoga Center in 2014, and am currently pursuing my RYT-500 hour certification. I love to teach energetic vinyasa flow combined with deep stretch postures to all levels. I encourage my students to make that connection between mind, body and breath, and to leave class feeling both empowered and peaceful. I love the positive energy that is created during a yoga practice, and I hope my students will use that energy to discover the best version of themselves. I look forward to sharing my love of yoga, and to remaining a lifelong student of the practice.

Carmen Bridges, RYT

Caroline Dedmon, Yoga Instructor

Caroline Dedmon completed her RYT 200 at Asheville Yoga Center and has been teaching yoga for 20 years. She is also certified by the YMCA and AFAA. Caroline focuses on a therapeutic approach to yoga and is completing her 500 hr RYT in that concentration. She currently teaches Senior Women’s chair yoga. Her classes are for all levels.

Jordan Brackett, Yoga Instructor

ordan’s yoga journey started in 2012, while living in Wilmington, NC, and it hasn’t stopped yet! It was immediate love, immediate connection – he was hooked! Jordan’s practice eventually led him to Kalani Honua, the Big Island of Hawaii’s largest retreat and wellness center, where he lived, worked, and completed the 200 hour Unified Yoga Teacher Training through the Peak Beings Yoga School.
